Hi there! My name is Sepi Khonsari. I'm a doctor now, and after having
finished a year of internship in
general surgery with the
University of
Southern California, I more fully appreciate that my friend Chris
Merz's nickname, Sleepycaliforniamedstudentwhofeelskindofnauseous, was
nothing compared to a year of internship! Getting enough sleep has been shown by the Surgeon General to prevent nightmar... dreams about words such
as
tenosynovitis
and nosocomial
(Oh my!) Unfortunately, it couldn't get rid of appendicitis.
I hope you will take some time to enjoy the sites below. Let me know if you have any comments, questions, or if you just plain want to say, "Hey there!"

I know what you are thinking, "Was this guy connected to UCI at some time before his medical school career"? The answer is YES!
My undergraduate years at UCI ended in Fall 1996 when I received a BS in BS (A Bachelor's of Science in Biological Sciences, not what you thought those initials stood for). Then I came back for more as a medical student from 1997-2001.
When I finally graduated from medical school, I spent a year as a general surgery intern in the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, General Surgery Residency Program. I successfully completed my training at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, the USC University Hospital, and the Norris Cancer Hospital.
My ultimate goal is to become a urologist. It's the best of both medicine and surgery, for men, women, children, cancer and benign diseases, and well, it is just cool (Isn't that what life is about? Doing something you like when you go to work?) The quest continues, and during 2002-2003 I will be doing some urology research and completing my USMLE so I can become a fully licensed physican.
During my carefree undergraduate years, I was a Peer Academic Advisor for the Campuswide Honors Program (93-94 & 94-95) and a House Assistant for Honors housing in the Arroyo Vista Housing Complex. I lived in house 1002 during the 1995-1996 academic year.
I was also a Campus Representative, giving tours and helping out with events like Celebrate UCI / Wayzgoose, UCI's open house.
One of my lives was as "Doogh," DJ of "The Persian Gulp" on KUCI radio 88.9 FM (June 94-Dec 95). If you are looking for a way to soothe your ears and get away from all of the harsh commercial radio you hear in Orange County, you should listen to KUCI, blasting you 24 hours a day with 200 Watts of live stereo sound from high atop Rowland Hall (formerly Physical Sciences I) or over the internet.
Two other web pages I have created are available for your viewing pleasure. They were created for Information and Computer Sciences 1C at the University of California, Irvine. There are two assignments: homework assignment three, where somethings may look familiar, or homework assignment four.
Finally, to help you create your own web page, you can take a look at an HTML Tutorial I created for the Honors Program as a teaching tool for some workshops I led. If you want to know more about how to make your own web page, this is the place to check out.
Always on the lookout for a good web site.
